Team Hoyt Sweeps Arizona Cup
Phoenix, Arizona, April 2005 – Hoyt shooters dominated the Arizona Cup this past weekend, taking home gold medals in
the men’s and women’s compound and the men’s and women’s recurve categories.
Leading the compound
men all the way through the FITA and head-to-head elimination rounds was Dave Cousins (pictured bottom right) with his Hoyt
UltraElite bow. Hoyt’s Mary Zorn (pictured top right) capped off her weekend with victory in the women's compound division,
also using an UltraElite bow. She defeated Hoyt teammate Jessica Grant in the gold medal round. Hoyt’s Jessica Mattson
was victorious with in the bronze medal round with her Hoyt ProElite.
Hoyt shooters took the top places in the recurve
divisions as well. Joe McGlyn took first place over a tough international field with his Hoyt AeroTec fitted with G3 limbs.
He faced Hoyt teammate and Canadian shooter Crispin Duenas in the gold medal match. Hoyt’s Kendra Harvey, a 2004 Olympic
alternate, took first place in the women's division with her Hoyt Matrix and G3 limbs.
